後來他們追殺工會成員，我不是工會成員，我不說話；
此後他們追殺猶太人，我不是猶太人，我繼續不說話；
最後，他們奔向我來，再也沒有人站起來為我說話了。
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I did not speak out because I was not a communist.
When they came for the social democrats,
I did not speak out because I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out because I was not a Jew;
When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out.
